  • Spend the Day at the Atlanta Beltline The Atlanta Beltline offers outdoor fun for the whole family and the best way to explore this multi-use trail is by bike, though walking is fine too.

  • Annual Macy’s Great Tree Lighting Show – Enjoy free live performances during this beloved holiday tradition before you take in the spectacular tree lighting and fireworks.

  • Apple Picking – Although the unofficial apple picking capital of Georgia is located outside of Atlanta, this is worth mentioning in this list! If you’re up for a drive to the town of Ellijay, B.J. Reece’s Orchards is one of the best orchards for some good ole farm fun.

Cost: $5 for admission. However, the Yellow Weekend Package likely offers the most value if you want to have fun without busting your budget. Fifteen bucks gets you admission, a half peck bag for U-pick apples, a wagon ride, access to the petting farm, pig races and cow milking.

Cost: $5 parking fee per car for all Georgia State Parks.

  • Stone Mountain Park Pumpkin Festival – While this activity is the priciest one on the list, it offers excellent value for money.
